How to do POT textures for iOS vs. Android?
Hey everyone,
I understand that all textures for mobile must be POT E.g: (64x64), (256x256), (512x256) However, I read that for iOS textures need to be squared for e.g: (256x256)
My question is what to do if you have a rectangular sprite? For example I have a rectangular platform sprite of size (2048x1024). I'm going to make it smaller but having a rectangular sprite like this for android should be ok?
For iOS I'd have to make that squared right? Do I do that in photoshop for each sprite? Or do I do that in Unity import settings -> Override for iOS -> Max Size?
As a rule of thumb, should I have separate folders for Android and iOS sprites ? So that I can modify the import settings for textures before building for either platform?
Thanks
