Unity extract data before rendering
Hi,
Its a bit of a weird question, but i need some kind of direction or advice what to search for in this case. What i need to do: If you have a scene in unity and then click on play, the scene gets processed and played in the game window. I have a project where i need to load all the "frames" that get processed for the game window, BEFORE they get there, load them into an external temporary cache. Do something with the frames (not important for the question i think) and THEN send the edited frames back to unity, where they get rendered in the game window?
As i said, probably not an easy question but if anyone has some direction where to look for about this, would be appreciated.
//edit: https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/PostProcessingWritingEffects.html im not sure but this might be going into that direction? just that i need to do the processing of the images extern of unity, and load them back in for rendering?
//edit2: ive found a way to get the cameras framebuffer data out of unity anywhere i want with this https://github.com/unity3d-jp/FrameCapturer only thing left now is how i can use those frames i have in an external folder to feed back into unity, so unity renders the game window with those frames instead of the original ones..?
