Getting a Tilemap to cast shadows
Hello guys.
So I want to find a way to cast shadows from a tilemap, kind of how we can set up a tilemap collider. I have walls in my level and I want the point light that is attached to my player to cast to them, I was able to get it working with the enemies by giving them a Shadow Caster 2D component and reshaping the box but I can't find a way to get it to work with my tilemap that contains my walls. One way I was able to do it was to put a game Object at each wall location and have it cast shadows, but I don't want to individually place walls for my entire level just to have shadows. Plus I have a feeling that would add up to a lot of game objects in the end. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know. Thanks.
I have included pictures about how it looks without the game object casting the shadow and with the game object included, I would like to get the second result without having to individually place game objects.
