how to enable transparency in imported .obj surface model?
Hello, i have two .obj files i have imported into unity, a head (left) and a brain (right). i would like to enable transparency on the head, so the brain can be seen underneath the head. does anyone know how to do this? thanks

you have to change the material shader.
create for this a new material and select in the drop down from inside the standard shader transparent (normal is opaque)
now you can adjust transparency over the alpha color value
i get this warning when i try to add another material: also, i am unable to change the rendering mode in the new shader.
you have to replace the material. default mat. because there is only one material asigned to your mesh. you have to create a new material in your project folder with a right click and the select material. then you should be able to change the rendering mode.
then it should work.
might my answer here can help you!
