2D Rotation can't use a float and requires a quaternion,Cant use float to modify z rotation in a transform class
I have been making a projectile system that would launch a projectile towards the mouse that comes from the player. Dependent on the mouse position, a vector would be created that the projectile would follow. I used Atan2 to find the angle using the player's X position subtracted from the mouse's X position and same for the Y. However, there is a popup that says I can't use a float to change the rotation of my character and henceforth the direction of where the arrow would go.
I am relatively new to unity as this is my first week of using it and this is also my first game. I would appreciate some help. Thank you. (P.S. I am running unity 2018.4 because I started this project without updating unity first.)
,I've been trying to create a projectile in a top down 2D game where is goes in the direction where the vector is the from the character to the mouse coordinates. I used Atan2 to figure out the angle of which the projectile would be firing however the prompt shows up the i can not use a float variable to display a rotation angle and instead to use a quaternion. The version I am using is 2018.4 because i had started this project on this version and don't know how to upgrade if possible. Please help.
