Do Prefab Instances take much storage size?
I'm concepting a game, divided by chapters (buildings), which are divided by levels(floors). Suppose each level's lightmap bake is 50mb (can't see it being smaller). 20 levels for chapter, 6 chapters on the game. That'd be 6gb of bake.
One of the levels on the game that i'm working on is similar to the levels of the next. Lightmap on it is 400mb. Following the thought, the other game would be 48gb. Not-ok.
I'm thinking of baking stuff, prefabing them, than instantiating them on the scene editor. My questions are:
1- Is that lightmap bake too big? 400mb? That level i'm talking about is 70x70x30. It's a highway surrounded by buildings.
2- Does prefabing baked stuff even work?
3- Most important: will it SAVE on data size?
