Question by Mystic_nynja · Apr 26, 2013 at 06:21 PM · rotationtexturecube3dtext

Rotation of 3D text on a cube always being upright.

My gameobject (essentially a cube) rotates 90 degrees when it is turned to show a different face of the cube. Doing a series of turns can make the words on the cube become upside down or sideways. How can I stop this?

Each face of the cube is a different Mesh, so 6 "Faces" create one cube, and then attached to each side is a 3D text component these are all saved into a prefab. Is there a way to keep the rotation of the cube always facing down, or i guess facing towards the camera but the bottom of the face is always rotated downward.

Would this be easier with a texture, and then rotate the texture each time the die has been moved?

Any help would be great, Thanks again.
