Question by Jela · Jul 13, 2014 at 05:32 AM · characterimportcubefalling

Character still falls.

Hi guys. I know there are a lot of questions regarding this but I think I have a different problem. I have a cube, which is imported from blender because I've change the normals of it to be inside. Now, I tried to put the character inside the cube. So I've put different colliders of cube and character. Why is that it is still falling? alt text

Because the colliders are convex, test on a simple terrain to see if the player falls trough, if not proceed to colliders of the box and give it mesh collider. Alternatively you can put 6 box colliders, 1 on each side of the box.

It's really convex, because based on http://answers.unity3d.com/questions/147687/Checklist-Object-or-Character-is-falling-through-the-floor.html the imported fbx file should be in convex

you FPS character controller is inside the collider box.Your character is actually penetrating the collider box.Collision box act as a whole box block for collision it wont give six faces of the box for collision detection.use a box with height closer to the floor plane thickness and aligned to it.
