How to extract the pixel coordinates of the Field of View in 2D-equirectangular image of VR 360 video?
Hello!
Currently I am working on a VR project, using HTC Vive and stuck in a problem.
Given yaw, roll, and pitch values of Head Mounted Display (HMD), would there be any possible way to calculate the coordinates of pixel(s) of the Field of View of the display in 2D equirectangular video frame?
Images below would help you better understand my question.
Below is a 2D equirectangular video frame.
And in the video frame, below is the field of view (FoV) of the HMD device, which is some part of the 2D equirectangular video frame.
As I could extract the yaw, roll, pitch values of HMD device, would there be any possible way to calculate the coordinates of pixel(s) of FoV in the 2D equirectangular video frame using the yaw, roll, pitch values?
The video frame is in a format of 1280 pixels width and 720 pixels height.
