cannot open a unity scene
So when I try to open a scene from the Unity assets, I get an error saying Unknown error occurred while loading 'Assets/Dire Defense.unity'. or Invalid serialized file header. File: "Assets/Dire Defense.unity". When I try to open this scene from the file explorer, I am led to my project, but not that scene. I cannot be 100% sure that the scene is the issue, since when I opened my project all of my gameobjects (including the camera) were gone, and I am just assuming that this was sort of automatically made because the unity scene could not be accessed. Please, I need some help with this. I haven't been able to work on my project in fear of this happening again and I lost quite a lot of valuable progress because of this, perhaps a few weeks' worth. By the way, the Dire Defense.unity file (which has the unity logo on it, meaning it is a scene) has apparently not been edited since I last worked on it, despite the gameobjects all being gone. I haven't edited the project so it is easier for me to try to fix it myself, but I haven't had any luck on fixing it so far.
EDIT: I have been able to open the scene, but this doesn't fix anything for me. All of the gameobjects in the hierarchy are still gone. If anyone knows a fix, please tell me.
