Game works great in scene editor mode but not in game build or maximize on play mode.
I have followed a tutorial online called How to Build a Dog-Fighting Flight Sim Game in Unity by AJ Texas Green Tea. Essentially the tutorial takes utilizes Unity's aircraft ai along with waypoints and progress tracker in conjunction with Unity's regular aircraft controlled by player to set up a dogfight. Everything works fine in scene editor mode without maximize on play enabled. In scene editor mode with maximize on play disabled the waypoint progress tracker updates correctly and switches to the player aircraft to trigger a chase. When maximize on play is enabled the waypoint progress tracker no longer remains attached to the player aircraft. The waypoint progress tracker remains in its original location and the aircraft ai crashes into the ground because it is attempting to reach the waypoint progress tracker which is at the ground. The questions are how is it possible for everything to work fine in scene editor mode but not work correctly when maximize on play is enabled? How do I fix this problem? Is this a known Unity issue? The real issue here is the same improper dynamics happen with a game build as happens when maximize on play is enabled. As is, the only way anyone can play the game is in scene editor mode. I am using build 2017.1.1f1. Any help / insight will be greatly appreciated. I've studied this problem for a crazy amount of time now and I'd really like to figure this out once and for all. Thank You.
