AMD display driver error, unity Freezes when I use inspector panel
The Editor always crashes when I use the inspector panel of the Unity Editor when selecting in the Project panel. After 10-30 seconds later, the Unity Editor will stop responding and freezes my computer for awhile, a quick black screen before it returns to normal, and the "AMD driver display has stopped responding" windows message will appear. The freeze will appear everytime I use the inspector panel.
This problem never occured until recently. I've been fine with using Unity since last year, until this problem surfaced.
Here are my computer specs:
Processor Intel Core i7-2630QM
4GB RAM
Win7 x64
AMD Raedon HD 6770M
Any workarounds within Unity? I seem to hit a dead end trying to solve this outside of Unity.
Thanks.
are you using two monitors with unity stretched across them, i used to have a problem where everything went white when stretched
Nope, that isn't to the monitor's fault, I'm using only one monitor, but rather of a graphics issue, the A$$anonymous$$D Raedon Graphics Driver.
There would be a slight blackout and an A$$anonymous$$D display driver error pops up whenever my pc is strea$$anonymous$$g videoes or using too much RA$$anonymous$$(Which is a stubborn problem that I have), Unity had no such problems until recently.
I've tried many soltuions non-Unity related but to no avail, so I believed that the issue should be within Unity itself.
