Fill a Cube with Smoke Particle System
Hello, I'm using the standard Particle System package provided by Unity (5) and I'm trying to fill a hollow cube with smoke. My cube is made with 6 planes facing the center of the cube. Each of them has a mesh collider. The particle system is a default smoke particle system emitting in all directions from the center of the cube and I enabled collision with World Mode.
However it seems that the particle system does collide with the cube but in some way extends slightly beyond the edges of my cube.
Any idea how I can fix this? I'm new to this system and it would be much appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi, I guess only the center of the particle can collide with some geometry, that's why you can see then going through the box a little.
Why not having a visual mesh (without collider) and a collider (invisible) mesh. Doing so, the colliders positions can be tuned to fully include the particles. This is a technique used often when the visual geometry must be very detailed but the cost of colliding with it would be to high.
