Is it legal getting AssetStore Assets from third party sites for free?
Hello,
i would like to use the Mega Fiers asset, but it costs a bit. So, I looked for a free version and I found a site which offers the same Asset for free. I would like to download Mega Fiers from that site but before I do so, I want to be sure that the site is serious and the download is legal and it isn`t a virus software or malware or anything like that. It doesn`t look like an unserious site and I guess it offers older versions that are out of the sale programm?
It's not legal.
It violates Asset Store Terms of Service and EULA: Point 3.5
3.5: Unless you have been specifically permitted to do so in a separate agreement with Unity and except as permitted under the Unity-EULA, you agree that you will not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, trade or resell any Asset that you have licensed from the Unity Asset Store for any purpose.
