how can i use spot light in canvas 2d

hey guys, the thing is i'm creating a 2d scene and i need a spot light to pass by On a part of an image and make it glow, but it wont work On Image, i used sprite but i can t put the sprite in the canvas. i need to use it in canvas and i searched every where but didn't find anything useful, can anyone help me On this? Thanks.
