Export 3D Max bone animation to Unity
Hi, I have a problem with exporting 3D Max animation to Unity. I watched many video with similar topics, but everything I tried didn't work. To be precise, I turned on checkbox with animation ( in 3D Max ), my animation is based on bones ( bones with skin modifier ). Also I tried some voodoo magic with animation configuration in Unity, but also didn't work.
Can you advice me some steps, that I missed? Maybe there're some better tutorials than I found, cause they were made in 2012. Btw I'm using unity 5.1. Thx in advance.
Hi,Click the imported mesh in the project panel,go to the Inspector panel and make sure you can see the "Animation" tab shows any clips named with Take001 or so on ?If that shows, and when you click play with the clip selected and the animation you made in max should play there.
If no clips are shown or the "Animation" Tab is disabled, that means unity didnt get any animation from the FBX file.IF you are animating bones with I$$anonymous$$ setup, you might need to check bake Animation in the FBX exporter to keyframe them.
Well it has that animation and animations tab is not disabled. Well I didn't try Unity's inverse kinematics, maybe it'll work.
