Question by douglasg14b · Jan 25, 2015 at 07:15 AM · spritesprite editor

Trying to use the sprite editor but most of the buttons are greyed out, how do I fix this?

As the title says, I'm trying to use the sprite editor and most of the options are greyed out. Not sure what I am doing wrong here alt text .

I've done a dozen different Google searches with no luck, I must be using the wrong keywords. I appreciate your help!

Edit: Made a gif, after trying the "multiple" suggestion. alt text

There's nothing to slice, there's only 1 slice

Same deal after changing the mode to multiple.

after changing the mode to multiple, you should be able to click the "Slice" option... or you can just "pull" the area you want to slice.

Did you click "Apply" after you changed it to multiple?

ok...try this: 1. close the sprite editor tab 2. change the mode to multiple 3. click sprite editor button

i don't need to click apply after i change mode, but i open a new sprite editor everytime and save and close after i finish. this should solve your problem.
