Blender Rigify import with Top/Bottom only animations, different hips
When the hips transform isn't the same for both top and bottom, crazy things happen. Hips are the main parent bone in the hierarchy; both the thighs and spine/ribs are its children. In a punch top-only anim, which needs to work with both standing and walk, the hips rotate around in certain way, and the whole upper part of the animation needs to inherit the hips to be correct.
So I've got the top-only blend to include the upper-body transforms by recursing from spine and adding the hips. The stand anim, however, thinks the hips are stationary, and so dangle out to the side as the hips rotate. Including the hips is the only way to make the top anim look right.
How can I get unity to stay vertically as though the hips are stationary in this case? is there a way to get the thighs to use one hips transform and the upper body to use a different one without doubling the hips up in the rig?
