My alpha channel is not importing correctly
Yeah, my problem hasn't gone away. If you have time to reject me, spend the thirty seconds it takes to answer ffs.
When I import sprites to unity, they have a VISIBLE background. No matter what spriting program I use, they still have a background. In the spriting program this background is set to transparent using an ALPHA channel. In any other program, when the sprite is opened, the background ALPHA CHANNEL is working. It does NOT work in unity. What is the workflow others are using for proper ALPHA transparency when importing sprites to Unity?
I can't afford photoshop, so please list alternatives.
Thank you.
I've never used Gimp. I tried a few programs after Graphics Gale, before looking up why I was getting the error and finding the "alpha plugins for photoshop" witch made me think they were excetionally wonky.
But Gimp worked. I'm finally able to remove backgrounds...
I'm following a youtube tutorial that is going over creating a complete prototype of a platformer using sprites. He just provided assets he made in photoshop. link text

You can also put in Editor GUI and legacy GUI -- Point - TrueColor.
