Unity Launcher, once open, has black screen, can't see any options (windows 10)

Question

Question is easy to explain, answer is hard to find. I have Unity 5.3.6p7 on Windows 10. When I press on the Unity3D button and the launcher is up, the whole thing is black and I can't really log in, or do any of the normal options.

Any help for this not-computer-savvy person who reaallly needs this for work would be very appreciated.

Are you trying to install Unity on a enterprise/school computer? I know I guy who had this same problem. Check out the install log, It turned out IT had security settings that prevented Unity from installing files in some locations.

Naturally IT took weeks to fix it, but eventually it worked.
