Our Game Has Extremely Low FPS (High Poly Count?)
Our Game is based in a German City and we have added a lot of models that we have created in SketchUp - (As we are graphic designers.) We put it into our game and the FPS is really low and we have top specification computers.
I believe this is caused by the high poly-count, is there any way of fixing our low FPS? We have a deadline by a company by November, so the option given must be time-friendly.
Thanks, Harvey Calladine. CEO Of Simply Vanilla Studios

No Landern, I unfortunately do not have Unity Pro at this current time, so I am unable to perform tasks like Occulusion Culling.
Could you share any images of your models or the game scene?
You have not provided enough information. How many polys? How many game objects? Be as detailed as possible. http://docs.unity3d.com/$$anonymous$$anual/RenderingStatistics.html Take a screenshot with that enabled.

From what I know of SketchUp it is not good for keeping vert counts down. You should try and import your models into another 3D package and edit them in this to reduce your vert and poly count(Blender if you have no money). Look at this as well :

You are students from what I can gather on your Simply Vanilla Studios Facebook page. I think you may be able to get a very heavily discounted Unity Pro Student Licence, it is worth you looking into as what Landern suggests is spot on for performance. :
Good luck with your competition!

Run it through the profiler. Anything else is just guess work.

I have experienced that alpha textures significantly affect performance (specially on mobile devices). In that screenshot I notice alot of those on the trees. Try disabling these just for the sake of troubleshooting and see if there is any difference!
