Problem with accent characters in a GUIText
Hi everyone,
I have a problem concerning the accent character in a GUIText Component.
I have to develop a FLASH game with Unity. But as GUI.TextInput is not supported by FLASH Export, I have to create my own textinput.
To do so, I have a script which displays in a GUIText what the user is entering with his keyboard. But I have to handle accents too, but when I write :
myGUIText.text = "é";
It displays "é" instead of "é". I don't know what to do to fix that...
Thanks for your help.

This has to do with your file encoding method. Make sure you save your files as UTF-8.
Ok that's what I thought. But how can I change the encoding method of $$anonymous$$onoDevelop ?
Thank you
EDIT : When I open my files created under $$anonymous$$onoDevelop with Notepad++, the encoding seems to be right. I see the right characters. But, when I export my project to FLASH with the Unity Editor, the .as files created seem to be encoded differently, and the accent characters are replaced by some "\\whatever" stuff... So the problem may not come from $$anonymous$$onoDevelop but from the FLASH export... Any idea ?
How about encoding of scene or prefabs? It sounds more like a still missing feature to me.
