Surely you could've attempted to compile this, and it would say if it wasn't valid Unityscript...

if it were valid JS, wouldn't the variable typing occur after the name and addition of the var keyword?

public var RotationAxes:enum = {$$anonymous$$ouseX = 1};

no - it's not a variable, it's an enum decleration
