launcherTemplate.gradle file is not used

We recently switched from Unity 2019.2.18 to Unity2019.3.3 and need to add customizations to the gradle files generated.

Till now we created the mainTemplate.gradle file and Unity used this correctly.

With Unity2019.3.3 new grade build flow we need to also modify the template for the launcher. I've cheked the docs at https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/android-gradle-overview.html

I also create a launcherTemplate.grade file, but it is not used. However the mainTemplate.gradle file is used for the library, as intended. Both files are located within Plugins/Android Directory.

Does anyone else also has this problem? Or is there a way to fix this?
