Has anyone downloaded and loaded .so files manually with any soLoader, to reduce the apk size?
Some more information:
This question is Android apk specific.
We are using Unity as a library on top of a React Native app.
We are already using assetbundling to download assets at runtime and stripping is enabled. So we have already done what we could to reduce the apk size, with what Unity provides.
The new code is however adding to the size, and the default unity code takes up some size as well. This is no surprise to us, as this is to be expected.
We are trying some experiments with Facebook's soLoader, and managed to download and load libunity.so at runtime. However, the same procedure doesn't work for libil2cpp.so (which is the bigger file).
So, the question is, has anyone successfully downloaded and loaded both libil2cpp.so and libunity.so at runtime.
