Photon multiplayer trying to enable scripts and getting NullReferenceException
I am using Photon to make a multiplayer game and am trying to enable a scripts from my NetworkManager. I keep getting a NullReferenceException, which I know means I am not referencing an object, but I can't figure out why that would be. I have checked many other similar problems but nothing has helped. Code is below. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The error is occurring in the fifth to last line (Player.GetComponent ().enabled = true;).
using UnityEngine; using System.Collections; using UnityEngine.UI; using UnityStandardAssets.Characters.FirstPerson;
public class NetworkManager : MonoBehaviour {
[SerializeField] Text ConnectionText;
[SerializeField] Transform[] spawnPoints;
[SerializeField] Camera SceneCam;
GameObject Player;
void Start () {
PhotonNetwork.autoJoinLobby = true;
PhotonNetwork.logLevel = PhotonLogLevel.Full;
PhotonNetwork.ConnectUsingSettings ("0.1");
}
void Update () {
ConnectionText.text = PhotonNetwork.connectionStateDetailed.ToString ();
}
void OnJoinedLobby(){
RoomOptions ro = new RoomOptions () { IsVisible = true, MaxPlayers = 10 };
PhotonNetwork.JoinOrCreateRoom ("Phil", ro, TypedLobby.Default);
}
void OnJoinedRoom (){
StartSpawnProcess (0f);
}
void StartSpawnProcess(float respawnTime){
SceneCam.enabled = true;
StartCoroutine ("SpawnPlayer", respawnTime);
}
IEnumerator SpawnPlayer(float respawnTime){
yield return new WaitForSeconds(respawnTime);
int index = Random.Range (0, spawnPoints.Length);
Player = PhotonNetwork.Instantiate ("FPSChar", spawnPoints[index].position, spawnPoints[index].rotation, 0);
SceneCam.enabled = false;
Player.GetComponent<Shooting> ().enabled = true;
//Player.GetComponent<FirstPersonController> ().enabled = true;
foreach (Camera cam in Player.GetComponentsInChildren<Camera>())
cam.enabled = true;
}
}
