Point light behaving wierd
Hallo forum members,
i have a scene, in which i create a lot of planet-objects (>1000). These can be highlighted, to show the user their status. I realised this by adding a point light to each. This works fine if i am zoomed in, see the image below. But it creates two wierd visuell bugs if i zoom out.
As seen in picture 2, some of these lights are displayed in a straight line next to each other, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.
A lot of planets don't display their lights. Oddly only lights in the right side of the universe (Positive x coordinates) don't display.
I searched a lot, but didn't find any answers, so i am left with two questions:
Why does it behave like that and how can i get it to work as it should be?
If this shouldn't be done with lights, what is the correct way to highlight these objects in this style?
Thx in advance for any help.
