Question by Calum1015 · Jun 02, 2015 at 01:22 AM · downloadblocksoftware

Is it common for PC games made with Unity to be a security threat to anti-virus software?

So I am working on a game called ShapeRunner. I got my friend to download it but he wasn't able to play it because Norton Family Security software blocked it and removed it from his computer. Is this common with multiple anti-virus softwares? If so is there anything that I can do to fix it?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

If you would like to help, and you have anti-virus software, downloading the game and telling me which software blocks it would be great so I can work around it! www.flyhighgamesdev.weebly.com

I've had issues randomly between web browsers and anti-virus software complaining at me.

What I personally do in these situations, among others, is see what virustotal has to say. It's fairly easy for SOMETHING to give a false positive, but it still can give you an idea of whether anyone's bound to have trouble with it or not.

This worked great, however when I asked a couple friends who did not have Norton(they had other software) it worked, and this scan does not include Norton, But thanks for the answer! Thumbs up!

Actually, on the contrary, their list includes "Symantec" -- That's the company which makes Norton.
