Meaning of Dotted Rectangle Widget in GUI System
Hello,
I am unsure as to what the dotted rectangle represents, as show in the image below at 1).
I want to ensure that this dotted rectangle matches the size of the black capsule GUI sprite, attached to the image component of the UI GameObject, which can be faintly seen in the image below.
What does this unknown dotted rectangle represent, and how can I manipulate it to ensure it stays around the bounds of my image's sprite? All i know is that it is related to the GameObject and its scale, and that if i try to set the anchors to the corners of the Image Component's sprite through code, the anchors end up on the ends of this rectangle, instead of the bounds of the image sprite.
The reason for doing this, is so i can be able to translate gui images around the Canvas, and still have them scale appropriately based upon the current resolution.
Any help would be appreciated :)
