Unity Shadows Crashing My Projects Only On Mac

Hi People,

I have a unity project running fine on windows, really smooth. But some odd thing happens...

I have a mac and a windows machine and both have unity 3.2 installed (free version on both).

When i export this project is where the strangest thing happens, on windows, it runs fine, but when i export for mac and run it on a mac, it crashes after some seconds (variable) .

I managed to find out that the real time shadows are doing this to the project, when i disable it, it runs fine as app. My question is: Why? How can i fix it?

The oddest thing is that with shadows and everything, fantastic quality on editor, while editing the project even on the mac it runs normal, the problem appears only when i export.

I'll write down the machines i tested configurations:

2 mac book pros (twins) with 8gb ram, i7 2.6ghz processor, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512mb

1 alienware, nVidia 3d (don't remember the model, but it's 1GB), 24gb ram

1 vaio, amd radeon premium cant remember model either, but it's 512mb, older than my mac like 2 years, with 4gb ram

I wonder if anyone had this same issue before and how you did to fix this. Unfortunately i can't send pictures or my project to you guys help me out, but i can say it's like an arena.

Thanks in advance.

Your hardware should not be the problem. I am running Unity Pro on a 2007 $$anonymous$$acBook Pro (GeForce 8600$$anonymous$$ GT) without any issues. And as Ashkan said, real time shadows are not available in Unity Indie.

it might be a graphics driver issue or a unity bug. send the crash dump to unity technologies as a bug. how do you have realtime shadows in free version?
