checkerboard shadows with directional lights
I''m getting strange checkerboard artifacts with directional lights on several different project scenes in the editor. Is this a graphics card issue or some setting in unity that I can change?

To me it seems it could be either one of three things,
you need to upgrade your graphics card (I saw artefacts like this when my old gtx 280 ftw started to not cope with high graphics anymore) So i got a shiny new EVGA gtx 660ti :)
2.)Or it could be that your graphics card is dying, my friends asus gtx 460 did this after a few years of use.
3.)Possibly it could just be an internal problem with unity.
Could you tell me: What GPU do you have?; How old is your GPU? and is it new or used?
Hope i can help :)
geforce quadro 4500 512 bought in 2008. $$anonymous$$aybe it's time to upgrade unless it's a unity setting.
I replaced the card with another one I had laying around and the problem disappeared. Thanks for the tip.
