Help! Platformer issues with layering and colliders?
Hi! I am still fairly new to Unity and my biggest issue is making the actual level for my game. After may trials and errors through watching and reading tutorials on how to make a straight-forward level for a platformer would be using the "tilemapping" system in Unity. But... I'm having the most difficult time implementing how I want my player to be interacting with the platforms themselves. I attached reference images below for better understanding... I can run and jump onto the higher platform, and I can run and jump on to the lower platform. But, when I trying to run past the higher platform while still on the lower platform it won't let me. I think this issue has to do with something with the colliders but I have no idea where to start to fix this since the 2 platforms were made in the "tilemaps". It seems you can layer the platforms one on top of each other in the sorting layers to seperate the platforms but not the actual gameplay. Please, if someone could answer with the simplest way to fix this or a better way to actually build a level I will be grateful! I'm sick of unanswered Youtube tutorial after tutorial.... Thank you.
