Updating Unity without re-installation
Hi,
I'm new here and doing the first steps with unity.
Now I have a question about updating Unity.
I have installed Unity 20.17.1.0f3 and today I recognized that there is a new version available 20.17.1.1f3. for me it looks like a minor update but I tried to check in Unity for a new version, but Unity said that no new version is available.
That was stange but ok, so I downloaded the new version and now I cannot choose to update my existing unity. I can only install it new. Is there a way to update an existing version instead of installing it new? Because I have to copy my script templated for example to the new version.
Thanks and best regards L_tD

This is way late, but I think in your case, you can probably install to the same folder, and retain script templates. Since your post is 8 months old, you've probably long since moved past this. How did you solve it?
