Can a rendertexture be placed on top of an image? (Minimap help)
Im making a minimap in my game by using one orthographic camera that sends what the camera sees to a render texture (target texture field on camera). Since the game objects this camera sees wont be moving during runtime and don't need the camera to constantly update the target render texture I was wondering if I could take a picture of what the camera sees and assign it to an image. Then I would make a second orthographic camera that would only see what moves on the map (units, fog changes) and overlay the render texture it gets from the second camera over the image of the map taken from the first camera...
Is it possible to overlay a rendertexture over an image? If not, is it possible to have two render textures active at the same time on top of each other? (One render texture shows map, another shows (units/fog changes). I've been playing around with render textures and It seems like two render textures on top of each other cannot show both of the textures, only one at a time..(Correct me if Im wrong)..So Im wondering If I can put a rendertexture over an image.
