Question by Inan-Evin · Sep 13, 2011 at 09:47 PM · patch

Something like patch ?

hello everyone, i have big problem. I published my game but the speed of the enemies are changing according to the performance of computer. My friend told me it's about using Delta.Time, now i can solve it but is there any way to make player change the script, I mean something like patch ?

The player will replace/open the file i give, and the for example Speed.js script will be changed to the new one ?

Thanks :).

Since Unity games are typically distributed as binaries, I don't think you'll be able to patch a source code file.

What platform does your game run on? If it's in the App Store you could just release an update.

Just release an update through whatever channel you released the original- encourage people to download the the newest version if they have the old buggy one. How large is your project? If it has a lot of resources, I understand that it would be a little rude to ask people to download the entire thing again, but as long as it is small (<30 meg) I don't think it would be a problem.

This product sounds interesting. But I fear it could only have been useful if it were integrated into the version you already released...
