Unity 5.x freezes on importing assets on a new project (mac)
Hey All
Whenever I open any existing or new project in Unity 5.x on my mac it freezes at the importing assets window at 50%.
I can recreate this issue with this simple scenario:
Create a new Unity project
Create a new #C script (via Unity GUI)
Save
Quit Unity
Open project <---- Freezes at this stage
I've wiped all traces of Unity and attempted re-installing with no luck -- I've tried this with versions of 5.4, 5.3, 5.2, 5.1 and 5.0.
I've also granted full permissions to the project folder.
It's clearly my system that's at fault; any general direction to solve this would be helpful.

This same thing is happening to me. I can't do anything with Unity because of it. Did you ever figure out your problem?
@caleb_penney No, unfortunately I've not solved this issue - it still continues to effect one single $$anonymous$$ac. There's also does not seem to be any information anywhere regarding this problem.
@Haunty Thanks for the update. I wish we could find someone else who has the same issue that could walk us through fixing it. If I am able to fix it, I will update you
I have the same issue i just let it do its thing and load it it works for me maybe not you though @Haunty @caleb_penney
