Top down 3D puzzle game: Help with making my level perfectly fit the camera size.
Hello!
I am making a top down 3d puzzle game for mobile devices. I have stumbled on a major problem that has to do with my level design and i cant seem to find a proper way to solve it so i thought to come here and through a question hoping for some help.
I want my camera to have a fixed position and my level to fit perfectly inside the screen. What i have done is to rotate the camera 90 degrees on the X axis so it is pointing downwards to get the top down angle. I am using 3D blocks to create my levels. My problem is that to make my level perfectly fit in the screen i can only do it by placing the blocks down and then try to adjust the camera on the Y axis to get that perfect fit. This seems way wrong in my mind so i am hoping for someone to offer me a solid, constant solution so i can start creating my levels.
The ideal solution would be to set a confined space in my scene view, for example 16 x 9 blocks size and set the camera in a way that shows my whole level, no less no more, so i can make this a template and create all my levels on that same template.
I am really new to Unity and game development and i have searched a lot for a solution to this but with no luck. I hope you guys could help me sort this out!
Thanks in advance!
