Updating app in GP

Im new to publishing apps in Google Play, and heres my question. I published game in store, my games apk size is 40mb, what happend when I changed something in scripts, make new build with greater bundle and upload it ti Google play? Users should download hole new apk for 40mb? And if its true, how should I make small changes for small update sizes?
