Unity 3d Network dies on Android
Hello
My Unity 3d application with networking crashes when i start server and use onNetworkSerializeView (i thnk). When i am trying to start as client - it doesnt connect at all.
http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Components/MobileNetworking.html This article says: "Note: EDGE / 3G data connections go to sleep very quickly when no data is sent. Thus sometimes you may need to "wake-up" networking. Just make the WWW class connect to your site (and yield until it finishes) before making the Unity networking connection.."
But i have no idea what does it mean
Can U please help me?
Hmm I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do I really need to learn more about this stuff for mobile.
Doesn't your phone already take care of the data stuff automatically or are you trying to overwrite those settings and download files or something?
So far the extent of my internet use on my game project is something like this for facebook and youtube:
if (GUI.Button (new Rect (0, 0, social$$anonymous$$ediaButtonSize.x, social$$anonymous$$ediaButtonSize.y), facebookTextureButton, startGameStyle))
{
Application.OpenURL ("https://www.facebook.com/InfiniByteGames");
}
Seems to work fine so far but it sounds like you are trying to do something more complex? $$anonymous$$aybe someone else can help with some more details.
