Mixamo Animations
I'm using Mixamo animations for my character. The animations are being played nicely but the only problem is that the animations contain the movement of the character so whenever the animation is finished the character is redirected to the original position( it kinda teleport to the original position).
So how to restrict the motion in animations so that my coordinates won't be messed up ?

By disabling root motion on the animator and/or tweaking the root motion settings on the imported fbx in unity's inspector.
Mixamo download pipeline also has the checkbox option to make some animations "stationary" before you download them. Can't remember if it was when downloading or when adding to your library
$$anonymous$$ixamo has a setting called "in place" when editing the animation in the preview. You have to double check if it saves the setting though. I've had a few bugs on their website, where it wouldn't save the setting, but eventually it worked.
Nope! It didn't work! But the second option was helpful. Thank you!
I tried playing with the root motion settings but no success......Can you please explain it in detail ?
Root motion basically means is the animation allowed to animate the root most transform of the animated object.
I think the most important thing is to uncheck the "Apply root motion" checkbox on the animator. Should've linked this to you first...
The animation clip settings in my previous link are kind of for fine tuning the behaviour. For some animations its worth trying ticking the "bake into pose" check boxes in the animation clip inspector.
