`Timeline' does not exist in the namespace `UnityEditor'. Are you missing an assembly reference?
how do i solve the error below:
Timeline' does not exist in the namespace
UnityEditor'. Are you missing an assembly reference?
code causes this error:
using UnityEditor.Timeline
What are you trying to do? This error occurs when a namespace does not exist. So how to solve this particular error? Just remove the line ;)
Yeah, pretty much exactly as the error states - there's no class called Timeline in UnityEditor, so stop trying to use it.

Either add the UnityEditor.Timeline DLL into the current visual studio project, or put it with editor scripts.

It just happened to me for a silly reason so I'll share it here in case I'm not the only one.
I accidentally created a new class that was under application namespace and was NOT mono behaviour and I started seeing this bug. Eventually I retraced my last steps and once I deleted that file the error was gone.
No idea why it happened though, so feel free to explain if you know.
