Create interactable "hotspots" with dialog boxes in steamVR

Question

I was wondering if anyone had any good tutorials or recommendations for creating scripts that would allow a player in Virtual Reality on the Unity 5 engine, to interact with specific objects and generate a text box with a yes or no option for them to pick. I'm open to any resource be it video, website, or documentation.

answering my own question but a good one that I found while waiting was this:

its a full tutorial on lynda.com which you'll need to be a memeber to but they do offer free trials if you haven't already signed up.
