How to apply textures to a 3-D model
I have downloaded this church model- http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/304029 I can drag it into Unity but when I drag the textures that it comes with e.g. Stonwall, onto the actual model, it covers it with one solid colour that isn't even the texture, then comes the problem of adding all 4. Could anyone help?

OK, I just downloaded to check..
there are 2 files, you want the 3ds one: dsakerk.3ds (NOT dxakerk)
drag that into the scene, and it should retain its textures.. If for some reason it does not, you may click the little arrow by it's name (dsakerk) in the Hierarchy panel, to view its hierarchy. Then you can select the individual children and apply the textures to those (daklei, Kdeur, kerkglas, etc...)
also, you may prefer to add the actual MATERIALS which are included, rather than the textures directly.. (in the materials folder which was included).. these all have names which correspond to the parts they go with, so it should be easy enough, and some of the materials just use solid colors, rather than the included textures..
hope this helps..
