how do I solve 'VR: OpenVR Error! OpenVR failed initialization with error code VRInitError_Init_PathRegistryNotFound: "Installation path could not be located (110)"!'
Hi, When I run my scene in Unity I get the following error: 'VR: OpenVR Error! OpenVR failed initialization with error code VRInitError_Init_PathRegistryNotFound: "Installation path could not be located (110)"!'
I looked around on the internet but there are only people that have downloaded Steam that get this problem but I do not have steam so I do not know what is wrong or how i have to solve this.
Does anyone has an idea?
thanks!!!
I am having the same problem. I guess there is some library missing.
I also have the same problem. I download GoogleVR and when I generate Demo Scene i have this bug.

Download and Import "VR samples" in asset store. It solved the problem :))

It is necessary to have steam open when you launch the build. Also as stated from another thread:
"It's necessary to install Steam and then install SteamVR through Steam and then download the SteamVR plugin from the asset store. It says so in the asset's descriptions but it's easy to miss."
That and having "none" and "Mock HMD" on the SDK box in XR settings (located in file - build settings - player settings - XR settings - Virtual Reality SDKs),Make sure steam is open when you try to launch, wont work otherwise. Also as stated in another thread:

just remove OpenVR from PlayerSetting->Built Settings->Other Settings-> XR Settings-> Select Open VR and press "-" minus button
