How to edit 2 animation at the same time?

I have animated a car that drives through a track. Now I need to animate the camera to follow it in a cinematic way. However, I have no idea where the car is at a certain time so animating the camera so that the car always stays in view is near impossible. Can I have a car animation move with the timeline of the camera animation?
