Procedural terrain tiles
Hi there. I want to make game with terrain made of tiles. I want to make a tool that will create random 20x20 terrain tile that will match ones already created and joined like checkerboard. Does it sounds possible?
I don't need to make everything in-fligt. Maybe it could create 2000x2000 height map and then copy certain areas into small tiles?
Then I would want to populate this tile with some objects, textures, paths and enemies.
Is it worth of effort?
