Use custom render pass to render world space UI without post processing
I'm wanting to try and achieve the effect with the Universal Render pipeline whereby a world space canvas is rendered in the scene without post processing being applied to it but also have it occluded by geometry that would occlude it normally.
See the screenshots below.
Left is how its rendered normally. UI is affected by post processing and not white.
Centre is when the UI is rendered after post processing is applied but is covering everything
Right is the effect that I want to achieve.
Is this an effect that can be achieved with custom render passes utilising the stencil buffer and how would this be done?
