Sometimes ideas we have are well out of our skill level. You don't want to spend hours on a project you may never finish because it was to big a task to begin with.
If you really want to build this kind of game, id strongly suggest researching as much as you can and not just "how to build a farmville game" before you even think of writing a line of code. Following a tutorial will only get you so far.
If you are hell bent on making this game, you may need to purchase a pre made kit like this one...

...then you can get off to a running start.
That's my 2 pence. Sorry I couldn't help much but this is well out of the scope of unity answers.
Thanks for your help, can you give me some examples on what kind of things I need to research?
There is so much involved in making a game like farmville that it would be hard to tell you exactly what to look for as I have no experience in that kind of game.
You would need to work on a tile system that allows you to place objects(detect if object exists in position etc), you need build menus, code selectable objects, create timers etc etc the list goes on infinity. The tile map part is probably not your biggest challenge.
Remember, there is more than 1 person working on farmville over a long period of time.
maybe start by creating a tile map you can place objects on. Set the objects to green if space is empty and red if something already exists in that space. You will need some kind of menu to spawn objects from, and your objects will need to be selectable so you can move them and when selected they show info like time left or something like that.
Sorry I cant help much more, but as I said previously, this is too large a subject.

Go 3d not tilling!
it means that you should do it in 3D but that's just my opinion because my workflow is in 3d and i think it would be easier and better
@a161803398874 but if I don't do a tile system then what else do I do?
