Network discovery for offline networking
hi, Using network discovery component for local network support in devices. https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/Networking.NetworkDiscovery.html Using Network lobby package available in assetstore.
What I want to do :
1# Player Host game 2# other player join hosted game 3# Want to display list of host UI in client devices and join selection of host game. 4# player should be host game or can join game from list of host invitations.
For this what I have done : 1# I am broadcasting IP address using broadcast method of network discovery. Broad casting successfully and other device getting broadcast message in local network. 2# Generating UI for join game with binding IP address of host , joining and playing game successfully 3# After successfully joining game stopping broadcast of Host.
This flow works fine...!
Problem :
1# The way i Done is right or wrong ? Not sure. 2# Unable to destroy UI generated by host broadcast on client device because there is no method to change message in broadcast after joining game, If it is possible I can destroy all client devices room list UI by broadcasting message.
Hope you will get. If there is better solution then let me know. Thanks in advance...!!!
