FPS Raycasting How to Ignore Player collider
Hello all. I'm currently building a FPS game in Unity 5 where I'm using raycasting for bullet detection. I'm using the imported FPS controller standard asset that comes with the Unity software. I have my ray cast set up to begin from the cameras viewpoint at the center of the screen and to shoot forward so that it hits my aim cursor at the center. Everything is going smoothly except for one issue. When I aim straight down the raycast collides with the player controller collider that comes with the asset. I can't remove this collider as I need it so that enemies can collide into me and attack. My question is there a way to set up my script so that the raycast ignores this specific player controller collider? Thanks for any feedback anyone can provide.
